There is an issue whith how the asset hub is designed on Polkadot. You need to put Dot into the asset hub to be able to transfer any asset (usdt, usdc) to and from the hub. Sadly, circle cannot fit that.

In the near future we shouldn't even need to know where our funds are within the network to interact with any other dapp within the eco. One address accessing every polkadot parachain seamlessly, with all multi chain bridging and transaction funding done in the background and with only a single transaction fee to sign. That's the ambition.
